I am a strong believer in positive confessions, but
positive confessions without an accurate understanding of the price you have to
pay to ensure their manifestation can lead to frustration.
A lot of people confess to themselves that they will
be great and do exploits. These
confessions might never see the light of day; not because the confession are
not powerful enough but they lack the corresponding action to bring them into
manifestation.
When Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s
anointing, he was made to understand that although what he asked for was
difficult, it was still possible if he was willing to pay the price. There were many people in the school of the
prophet, but it was only Elisha that made the cut. (See Kings 2:1-12)
“Your success in life is not in the
confessions you make but the actions you take towards making them a reality.”
It is not easy to become a billionaire, distinguished
politician, talented footballer, an internationally acclaimed preacher or some
other respected professional; but is possible.
Sit down and do a careful analysis of the price you
need to pay to actualize your dreams.
When you do, put in the needed actions to pay that price for your desired
greatness.
If knowledge of the price scares you, then you can’t
take your place among the most successful.
It is time to pay the price for all confessions you have made over your
life all these years.
Stretch yourself! Go an extra mile! Reduce your amount
of sleep!
Get yourself a mentor!
Develop an appetite for reading and attending
seminars.
Develop leadership and financial skills.
It might be difficult to be among the most successful
and influential in your field, but it is not impossible. Pay the price!
