A time to be born and a time to die; so says the
preacher (Eccl 3:2)
Death is inevitable.
But sometimes, pride makes the living believe that they are alive
because they are better than the dead.
When people die, we are sometimes tempted to think
that their sins have found them out.
Really? Then you shouldn’t be alive.
According to Luke 13:1-5, when a group of people
approached our Lord and Saviour Jesus to inform Him about the death of some
Galileans, He made them understand that their being alive is not because they
are more righteous than the dead.
“When we are alive today not because we are perfect
in all that we do but because we have been given an opportunity to live”
Sometimes, we are tempted to think that we are alive
because we pray or do some things better than others.
I know a lot of people who have died; most of whom I
know I am not better than.
If I had the veto power over death, I would have vetoed
the death of people like, Kofi Annan, Dr. Myles Munroe, Bimbo Odukoyo, Komla
Dumor, and many others.
Pursue God, discover your purpose and leave a
posterity a great legacy.
Not everyone will get the opportunity to live for 100
years but everyone can make an impact that will live for longer.
