WE ARE ALL BINDING SHEAVES

Have you ever tried to register a name for your company or use a particular name on a website and was told that the name was already in use?

We live in a world where dreams and aspirations are not perculiar to one person.

The desire to succeed and become relevant in life is embedded in every one of us.  Hence, for every dream you want to pursue, there are several other people either pursuing or planning to do same.

You see, you are not the only one with a dream to become the best in your field.  In life, you will come across people who are already doing what you have dreamt of doing.  It does not mean you should stop pursuing your own dream. – ‘we are all binding sheaves’.

In Genesis chapter 37, Joseph recounted his dream to his brothers in which he saw that they were all binding sheaves and his stood taller than theirs.  His brothers on hearing this developed hatred for him instead of understanding that they can also excel in life by binding their own sheaves.

“Don’t let the exploits of others in a particular field intimidate you from pursuing your own dreams; rather, let them inspire you.  We are all binding sheaves.”

Someone needs what you have.  The world is a big place.  No one person is called to everyone.  Concentrate on binding your own sheaf and serve the people you are called to.

There is something you can add to your pursuit that will make it stand out.  Don’t let what others have achieved in your field stop you from making your own impact.

Who would have thought that iPhone and Samsung products would overtake Nokia?

Who would have thought that Christiano Ronaldo will equal Lionel Messi in the number of Ballon D’ors won? At one point most soccer pundits concluded that there was no need for any player to ever dream of winning a Ballon D’or with Lionel Messi still around.  But Christiano Ronaldo kept pressing on.

I never thought people will love to listen to me with all the great speakers in the world still around but I have come to understand that “we are all binding sheaves”.

Create your own definition of success.  Remember that other people are not working on their own dreams and their achievements do not diminish yours.
