When I first attempted to learn how to play the game of draught, I employed the services of a very skilled player as my coach. As the game progressed I began to get frustrated because my coach was directing me to make moves that made my opponent seem to have the advantage over me. But at the end, I won the game because what my opponent and I were not aware of was that, anytime I made a move that made me lose one of my pieces, that lost piece was to my gain. My coach had it all planned out and thus, every move I made was working according to his plan.
In our daily walk with God, our inability to see
the end of a situation from the beginning gets us worried sometimes but at the
end, our trust in God leads us to triumph.
When the nation Israel went to battle against Ai in Joshua chapter 8, they devised a strategy that made their enemy assumed that they (the Israelites) were fleeing from them; but little did the people of Ai know that it was all working according to plan to guarantee the Israelites victory.
When we make God our ultimate coach in life, all
the people and opportunities we thought we have lost turn out as our gain
because they worked according to His plan.
In my few years of walking with God and listening to the testimonies of others, I can say that indeed “all things work together for our good” when we put our trust in Him (Romans 8 : 28)
It is always difficult to accept that the challenges we are facing today are working together for our good. Champions are made from the challenges they overcome.
Just like the game of draught, some people have
to exit your life to make space for you to make your winning moves. Don’t throw in the towel.
The picture will become clearer when victory is
in sight. You will become an inspiration
to many.
