THE GIFTED MUSICIAN

A vibrant young man was very enthusiastic about music. And so he laid everything else aside and took up music as a profession. This choice was not so hard for him since he was already gifted with a sweet voice and was known by most people to be a very good singer.

Not long there was a powerful shift in his music career and he became well known for his powerful and vibrant music ministrations…His music career took him to many cities and many nations. 

 One day upon an invitation to an event, a prominent man walked up to him after his ministration and said “young man I enjoyed your ministration and I can tell that the power and anointing of God is so strong upon your life; I would love to host you in the United States.”

 So excited about the news, this young musician went home and made all the necessary arrangements needed for the journey. The day finally arrived and the young musician landed safely in the US.  He was welcomed and hosted by prominent man.  He took this musician to his house and introduced him to his wife saying, “this is the musician I told you about”.

Two days to the event, the man had to travel to a cabinet meeting on behalf of the company where he worked.  He forgot some vital documents and upon returning home to pick up the documents, the man stumbled on the most shocking thing in his life.  His wife of eight years was naked in bed with this musician.

Out of shock and disbelief, the man suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital.  By the grace of God, he survived and returned home.

The man divorced his wife and the musician was deported.  His shameful act quickly spread far and wide.  He lost everything including his connections and career.

LESSONS

1.   Character plays a major role in life. No matter your gifts, talents or skills when you lack the right character, you will soon be forgotten.

2.   When an opportunity is presented to you, do everything in your power to not disappoint whoever gave you that opportunity no matter the temptation.

3.   Whiles offering people help, opportunities, platforms or connections be cautious of your space and integrity.  Some people don’t know how to set boundaries but do well to set if for them.  Be careful who you open the doors of your home to.

4.   When someone offers you help, don’t disappoint else you will miss other great opportunities.

5.   Never put your trust in any man.
