THE POWER OF IMAGINATION

“Our thoughts, intentions, and aspirations whether they be secretly declared as desires or formally written as goals has power to manifest itself through our actions.” Cindy Trimm

The power of imagination is immeasurable. In Genesis chapter 1, it is evident that the world was created by God with His imagination so that all things that are seen were not made from things that are tangible. Imagination is what allows you to go into the future 10 years from now and live the life you have created in your mind. Imagination can help you to go into the past and correct the mistakes made in the past so that you don’t repeat that same mistakes in the future.

Imagination is the only nation with limitless possibilities—you can take whatever you want and build the future you want. It all start in the mind. This positive imagination is free…as for thinking we will all think so why not think big?

In Genesis 11, an interesting story was told of how a group of people decided to change the world because they foresee in their mind that they can build the tallest tower and the biggest city in the world.

Then said to one another, come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” Gen 11:4. So what was in their mind manifested in their words and then when action was coupled with their idea the city and the tower they imagined was materialized.

Imagination is so powerful that when the sons of men were building the city and the tower which they have imagined, God himself has to come down and stop them because He knew that as the men are united in their  heart to build the city and the tower, they can achieve it. “But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this I what they begin to do; now nothing that they purpose to do will be withheld from them.”   Gen 11:5-6

Similarly in Isaiah 14, Lucifer’s imagination (thought) landed him in the abyss. The truth is Lucifer didn’t commit any sin…his sin was as a result of the thought in his heart...Imagination! “For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also on the mount of congregation in the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the pit.” Isaiah 14:13-16

When Lucifer purposed in his heart all that he intends to do, God brought him to the lowest part of the pit because God knows that as he has purposed in his heart, he can achieve it. The power of imagination! Immediately you begin to imagine things you are creating things and when that thinking is backed with action, it will surely materialized.

“Logic will take you from A to B, imagination will take you everywhere.” Albert Einstein
