The word midnight occurs 14 times in scripture and
each of it appearances, something strange occurs. “Now it came to pass in those days that He
went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in
prayer to God [Luke 6:12] So after an
all-night prayer by our Lord Jesus, He preached a very powerful sermon, the
sermon on the mount.
God did important things at midnight – God did miracles at midnight, the
Apostles were released from prison at midnight.
When Paul and Silas were captured and put in prison, at midnight, they
started singing hymns and giving thanks to God “About midnight Paul and Silas
were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening
to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that
the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors
flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose” [Art 16:25 – 26] – behold the angel of the Lord came and
shook the foundation of the prison and all the iron gates were broken. The question is when they were captured, why
did Paul and Silas waited till midnight before they started singing? Because midnight warfare and midnight praises
to our God are effective. It is good to
pray all the time but for immediate result or divine intervention consider the midnight
Night warfare are effective. If
you want to defeat your enemies, pray at midnight because that’s the time evil
agenda’s take place. “Now it came to
pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all
night in prayer to God.” Luke 6:12
Midnight is the time for breaking demonic
and satanic bondages and limitations. “Arise,
cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your
heart like water before the Lord. Lift
up your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint from
hunger at the head of every street.” Lam 2:19
Midnight is the time of unexpected attacks. “….Thus
says the LORD: about midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt; and all
the firstborn of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his
throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant…” So it was as the
LORD has spoken. He strike every
firstborn in the land of Egypt at midnight.
There are levels of revelation you cannot
attain without midnight prayers.
