IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO RIGHT A WRONG

The present state of our lives is the sum of the decisions we’ve made over the years.  Some of our decisions have affected us in diverse ways.

Most of the regrets we have in life could be the consequences of our wrong decisions which adversely affected people who were once dear to us.  There were times when we took certain decisions based on our emotions and experience and these have brought us great pain.

But in all, it is our ability to accept where we have missed it and decide to right the wrongs that could redeem our honour to some extent.

In one of Jesus’ parables, he spoke of a man who sent his two sons on an errand.  His first son outrightly told him to his face that he will not go; but I believe upon much reflection, he decided to carry out the assignment.  This son made a mistake initially, but didn’t hesitate to right the wrong when he realized it.  His decision to do the right thing at the end brought joy to his father.  [See Matthew 21:28 – 31 ]

“We are bound to offend people in our journey here on earth, but our maturity is seen in our ability to accept our faults and do our utmost best to make things right”

There could be people who are full of bitterness and anger because of the way we have treated them.  Some of us have brought sorrow into the lives of people who showed us love in our moments of weakness.

I wish to encourage someone that it is not late to right that wrong.  Many years might have passed but you can still do the right thing.

It is not too late to reconcile with your spouse.  You can arrest that negative moment your marriage is going through.  You can stop that divorce procedure by humbling yourselves to accept your fault and make things right.

It is not too late to look for that lady you impregnated in the past and accept responsibility for the child.  It is not late to go back to your General Overseer whom you rebelled against and destroyed his ministry.

It not too late to make peace with your parents or children.

Yes, I agree that a simple apology is not enough to undo years of pain and sorrow but it can go long way to right the wrong.  Things can be better and joy can be brought back into the lives of people.  The decisions we make today are seeds which will yield us harvest tomorrow.

I see God remembering you because of your decision to make things right where you made a mistake.
